It's the last day of the challenge! It's time to put your big boy pants on.
There are many environmental organizations within Pensacola that work to protect nature. However, it seems like not enough people know about them. I know that I didn't even know that they existed until I did research. That's the whole point of this project. I want more people to know about what is available in Pensacola and what can be done to help the environment.
One of those organizations is Ocean Hour. They hold weekly cleanups in various locations throughout Pensacola and Gulf Breeze. You can check out their website here. One of my earlier posts discusses my experience with my first cleanup with them. It's honestly life-changing.
Your challenge is: Attend an Ocean Hour cleanup.
There will be two cleanups during the course of this challenge.
December 14 - Chimney Park at the junction of Langley Ave and Scenic Hwy. Bay Bluffs Park at Summit Blvd and Scenic Hwy
December 21 - Wayside Park/Graffiti Bridge at the Pensacola Visitor Centre, 1401 E. Gregory St., and Bartram Park, 211 Bayfront Pkwy
You can attend either one. Or both! Just make sure that you click the "complete" button on the event page for this day, or I won't know that you came! Check out @legume.official on Instagram and post a picture with the provided hashtag for this day!
Live green!
